First - we need new pictures!

Today, as I reflect on all that you are and have been, what comes to mind is "light." Your friendship has been a light since we met - I always thank God for that accidental WhatsApp message that was already planned by God to mark the start of something amazing.

In the past year, it has been an immense joy to spend time with you - whether it's randomly chatting during coworking hours (instead of doing what we say we want to do), actual coworking online, laughing, debating, learning, or even just talking about our lives. It's been wonderful to share life with you and to have a safe space to just be myself and yet to grow also.

You're a light and an inspiration - watching you inspires me to live life to the fullest and to put in the work for what I want. I'll confess: sometimes, when I want to give up or fall off the wagon, I remember nights you put in (and continue to put in) to hone your craft and stand out among your peers. I draw from this energy to keep going even when I don't feel like it. Thank you for being a source of motivation on days when I've felt low.

Finally, God's wisdom is evident in your life, and I'm always amazed at your ability to determine God's ultimate purpose in circumstances, bring a fresh perspective to conversations, and reach into depths of truth that only a few can uncover. This makes me proud to call you friend and also honored that God would cause our paths to cross. I have learned so much from listening to you over the past few years and learned even more from watching the way you conduct your life with wisdom.

Thank you for being the most amazing friend anyone could wish for and for the privilege of being a part of your journey. I do not take you for granted, and honor all that God has deposited in you. I promise to continue to tease you and laugh with you; I also promise to continue to tell you the truth, especially when it's uncomfortable, and remind you to take actual breaks.

I pray God continues to shower you with His wisdom, keep you in His love, flood your path with light, and cause your light to shine forth before men and nations. May He enlarge your capacity so that you become far more than you ever dreamed of becoming and do even greater than you ever thought you could. I pray in this new year that He favors you (no pun intended). Amen!

Next year, I hope to be using a brand-new picture set! In the meantime, I look forward to the new year and all that it'll usher in for you.
